Growing up in rural upstate New York, I have always been an outdoors person. I trained in cross country skiing with the Rosendale Nordic Ski Club and travelled to Sweden for extensive training with my coach and teammates. This was long before cross country skiing became popular. At the time, not many people even knew about it! My brothers and I rode snowmobiles around the area trails, some of which we cut ourselves. For a time, I lived at Mohonk Mountain House and had the privilege of using the facilities for ice skating, skiing, horseback riding, swimming, hiking and just plain enjoying all it has to offer. I worked at the hotel all through high school and college.
In the late 70's I moved to Boca Raton, FL, where I worked in Restaurant Management for quite a few years. I became a beach lover and found I loved being in the warmer climate. While there, I attended Palm Beach Junior College to gain knowledge in the accounting field.
For a brief period of time I also lived in Kaulua Kona, Hawaii, then made a move back to New York in the mid 80's. Besides continuing my career in Restaurant Management, I became a golf addict. Any spare time off from my job was spent on a golf course. During this time I frequently vacationed in Sarasota, FL, spending my time between golf courses and the beaches.
In 2001, I made another major decision in my life. I moved back to sunny Florida and discovered Englewood. This is a fantastic little town with gorgeous beaches, plenty of golf courses and community activities. Shopping in either Sarasota or Port Charlotte are just a car ride away.
Although I miss my family in New York, Englewood is now home! I spend my free time golfing, going to the beach and working in my yard year round!
Coming from a background in Restaurant Management in upstate New York, I have an extensive background in customer service. Moving to Englewood, FL, I decided to make some changes in my life and pursue a new career. I have now been in the Real Estate business for over eleven years and love it!
After receiving my license as Mortgage Broker, I decided to go a step further and obtain my Real Estate license in 2002. I have been an agent with Coldwell Banker Sunstar in Englewood ever since. Through Coldwell Banker Sunstar and on my own I have continued to take Real Estate classes in order to improve my service to both buyers and sellers of Real Estate and to stay current with new laws, regulations and changes in the business and in the area. I have achieved the Graduate Realtor Institute designation, ePro designation, Cendant Mobility Affinity Specialist, At Home with Diversity:One America Certified.
I always say I "tripped" across Englewood. Once I found it, I decided this is where I wanted to live. Englewood has small town charm, beautiful beaches and everything you may need is within a short driving distance. Coming from rural upstate New York, this has been a new and welcomed experience for me!
